Description: Supporting Reluctant Readers continues and advances the Reluctant Readers series, which caters for students who have left the junior years but are struggling with reading. For these students the interest level of texts is vital. This resource aims to capture that interest with a range of vibrant, relevant reading work units. The resource is comprised of 8 guided reading units presented in a variety of structures. Each unit has a detailed step-by-step lesson plan along with a learning intention, a text for the children to read (or for the teacher to share with them), and a variety of follow up activities designed to improve literacy skills.
